This workshop is designed to empower parents and caregivers by helping them recognize the profound capacities of their infants to self-determine the timing and sequencing of their movements. We will explore the various stages of motor development, from lying on their backs up into standing and walking. Participants will come away with new ways to observe and support their babies’ movements, along with an appreciation of how each and every stage of motor development is important in and of itself, and is foundational for the next stage.

In this 45 minute evening workshop Val will guide you and your family through a gentle and comforting routine that will allow your mind and body to prepare for sleep. The only props needed are pillows and you can even practice in bed. With soothing music, gentle yoga poses and a dreamy guided meditation you and bub can bond, cuddle, relax and wind down. Bedtime yoga and mindfulness is a great way to slow down from the busyness of your day with your child and introduce the elements of yoga in a relaxing and nurturing way.
